November 7, 1874 – April 7, 1957

George was born in Missouri and died in Napa California.

George started a map company and a publishing company. Clason map company was the first to publish a road atlas of the United States and Canada but it did not survive through the Great Depression.

Hard to imagine the first Atlas of Canada and the United States being made by the man who wrote this book.

The Richest Man in Babylon was recommended to me by Coach Jules. We read the book together and I also listened to it on audio. This book is a must read for anybody that will ever be involved in making financial decisions.

The book teaches a simple approach to life and dealing with money. It's a great story about a young man learning to make a good living following the advice of the most successful person in the kingdom.

The number one thing most people get from this book is the wisdom of being able to keep a certain percentage of your money for yourself. You should save at least 10% of the money you make for yourself or your retirement. This 10% does not include living expenses or any purchases you will make before retirement.

The book is a hundred pages and is a pretty good read.
