Prentice Mulford's Story

1834-1891
Prentice was born and Sage Harbor, New York and at the age of 22
moved to California to strike his fortune in mining. After leaving the
mines because of the difficulties he moved to Sacramento and ran or the
state assembly.
He lost the election and returned to San Francisco where he began
working for a local newspaper, where he would spend the next five years
as a writer and editor.
In 1872 Prentice returned to New York City to work for the newspaper
Daily Graphic.
Thoughts and things seemed to be a modern day guide for the New Thought
Movement .
