Wallace was one of the pioneer success writers and of the new thought
movement which later became the personal development or self help
movement.
The Science of Getting Rich was his most popular book written in 1910.
In 1896 Wallace met George Davis here on of the Congregational Church
who was traveling the country preaching a new form of Christian
socialism. This was extremely interesting and got him thinking
differently about Christianity and the lessons he had been taught
throughout his lifetime.
Congregational churches are Protestant Christian churches practicing
governance, in which each congregation independently and autonomously
runs its own affairs.

| I have never read this book but would like to,
I have heard that it wasn't a long book to read. This book has influence
so many people and I hear about it often from authors as well as some of
the movies I have.
The movie The Secret was based off of The
Science of Getting Rich book and obviously impacted Rhonda Byrne's life
dramatically. The book is mentioned a couple of times in the movie by
Rhonda.
She mentions her daughter gave her the book when she was at her wits end
like most of us, kind of sinking into a depressive lifestyle because
things weren't going well and her present life. This book changed her
life and doing so changed the lives of thousands of people all over the
world.
How much impact can one book have on someone else's life. A book that
was written in the 1900s and read by a thousand people can inspire
millions in the 20000s and possibly billions in the 2100s.
Something to think about, this book is one of those books.
