December 5, 1862 - November 22, 1932
William was born in Baltimore, Maryland two William and Emma Atkinson.
His parents have lived in Maryland and her whole life. He later on
married Margaret Foster Black of New Jersey in 1889 and they had two
children.
Later on is in his career as a lawyer he acquired material wealth was
most people did in the late 1800s. After a while William began to suffer
from a nervous breakdown and eventually financial disaster.
Having suffering from these problems he started seeking ways to live a
better life and ran into the New Thought Movement. When he started
studying and following their ways he noticed an improvement in his
health as well as his prosperity.
Over his lifetime he wrote over 30 books and contributed greatly to
changing the thoughts of Americans during and after his lifetime.
